I am going to be honest, I am going to suck at this “about” section. I hate speaking of myself in the third person, but also hate writing about me like a tool. I wish I could have a rap song that really explains my greatness that I could type out for this section. Something to the tune of “My name is Peaches/And I’m the best/All the DJs want/To feel my breasts” and finish with a crazy good verbal beat box. But I can’t, so here goes…

My name is Cara. I am a Black person first. Then I am a woman. Later, I became a mother to two of the most awesome individuals on the planet…Ella & Eric (also known as EJ). I was forever changed when they were born, and I will never be the same again. Finally, and most recently, I became a wife. My friggin’ amazing husband, also known exclusively in this blog as “4th Roommate” is a generous, loving man who allows me to stay at home all day while my children grow. I have been home with them since before he was my husband, so think about how nice and generous he has to be, to be supporting me and allowing me to stay home even before he could claim all of us on his taxes. Oh, he’s also the twins father. Biologically. Not like…in a blended family way. We just kind of worked in the wrong direction as far as marriage and conception were concerned. No big deal.

Our little family lives in Annapolis, Maryland. We love our home down by the Bay, however, I have a serious bone to pick with Raffi, as I have yet to see any watermelons growing. My whole childhood, subsequently, has been revealed as a lie. The twins were born in Maryland, but I am from Cleveland, Ohio originally, and will forver identify as a Clevelander. I have always enjoyed writing, but admittedly the past 5 years have proven hectic and I have not been able to be successful at it. This blog is me attempting to be successful. Please enjoy my journey!
